About

An award-winning author of Epic, Urban, and Sword & Sorcery, Jay Requard started reading Fantasy at nine years-old and was set on the path to become an author when his father gave him a copy of The Hobbit when he was 11. A prolific novelist and short story writer, he has been nominated for two awards and won the 2016 Write Well Award in 2016 for Mask of The Kravyad. A prolific YouTuber, Jay has created and hosted shows including Pondering The Orb, Where No Bubs Has Gone Before, and has produced creative and entertaining programming for various websites and magazines. He is also one of the founders of Falstaff Books.

When not writing his next series like a madman, Jay enjoys reading, martial arts, listening to Melodic Death Metal and Synthwave, hiking, cooking, and has been known to disappear into Skyrim to battle dragons every few years. (It’s obviously his favorite game.)

Born in Maryland but raised in North Carolina, Jay currently lives in New York City with his family and a wonderful star cat named Mona Underfoot.
